Role Overview
This role isn’t routine management. It demands someone who understands the realities of the field and has the discipline to see projects through. As Program Manager, you’ll take responsibility for leading projects in solar energy, carbon reduction, EV adoption, and agri value chains. You’ll also manage teams, coordinate with government bodies, work with communities, and ensure that every project delivers outcomes that matter.
Strategic thinking, on-ground experience, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders are essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program & Project Management
- Lead transformative projects in solar, carbon, electric vehicles, and agriculture — from concept to execution. Your goal: deliver real, measurable impact.
- Develop and manage strategic project plans, establish KPIs, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes across diverse geographies.
- Work hand-in-hand with government bodies, donors, and private sector partners to navigate the complex regulatory and funding landscapes — and make sure every project thrives.
2. Team Leadership & Capacity Building
-
Inspire and lead a small, but powerful team of 3-4 executives and consultants to deliver top-tier results. You’ll mentor them, help them grow, and make sure they have the tools and support they need to succeed.
-
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within your team. You’ll help them stay engaged, innovative, and focused on the bigger picture — creating long-term, positive impact.
-
Provide hands-on leadership, helping your team navigate challenges and celebrate victories, big and small.
3. Stakeholder & Partnership Management
-
Engage directly with government agencies, grassroots organizations, NGOs, and private-sector partners. Build trusted relationships that will propel your projects forward and ensure their sustainability.
-
Be a voice of empathy and understanding when working with ground-level beneficiaries — understanding their needs, respecting their perspectives, and ensuring that the projects truly make a difference in their lives.
-
Represent Socion Impact at industry conferences, policy discussions, and public forums, where you’ll champion the cause of renewable energy, sustainability, and social change.
4. Financial & Operational Oversight
-
Manage project budgets with precision, ensuring every dollar is spent effectively to maximize impact.
-
Track financial health, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are operationally smooth and financially sustainable.
-
Be the guardian of resource allocation, ensuring that every project has the support it needs to succeed, while always keeping an eye on efficiency and impact.
5. Impact Assessment & Reporting
-
Measure the change you’re making — tracking impact through data, and translating that into compelling stories that resonate with stakeholders.
-
Prepare impact reports for donors, internal teams, and external stakeholders, showcasing the results and learnings of your projects.
-
Use feedback and data to adapt and improve strategies, ensuring continuous progress toward your project goals and the SDGs.
